The courtyard wall holds the sun in hard diagonal slashes. Sitting along the poured concrete, the cold comes through the denim slowly, grounding the spine without requiring much effort. An overhead louver turns light into geometry; every ten minutes the balance alters against the rough stucco behind me. In the middle of an afternoon split by errands and studio transit, there is an austere pleasure in simply matching the stillness of the bench. The body needs these flat surfaces to remember its own plumb line.

The Chladni gown by Iris van Herpen makes me want to move before deciding on a pose. Its pleats suggest a turn, then a pause long enough to let the fabric settle. That is the movement I wanted to explore in today’s imagined styling study. I like the small tension between a face that stays composed and a silhouette that refuses to stay still.

Late afternoon light cuts low across the concrete floor, holding the loft in flat, grey warmth. After hours of spinal conditioning and quiet physical rehearsal, the body settles back into clean verticality. There is a specific clarity that arrives when nothing needs to be performed or offered to an external gaze; the room demands only balance and breath. I leave the table bare, keeping the quiet intact until evening.
