Strih na papieri položený na stole ešte potrebuje o centimeter väčšiu voľnosť cez hornú časť chrbta, inak bude ľan pri zdvihnutí paže tlačiť. Pred akýmkoľvek strihaním znova skontrolujem smer nite. Pri konštruovaní strihu, rovnako ako na pľaci, už po vykonaní strihu nijaká korekcia nepomôže. Správne vyváženie musí byť najprv na papieri.

Účtovná kniha nepotrebuje príležitosť, iba čistý riadok, ktorý udrží bilanciu v rovnováhe. Tieto poznámky si chcem viesť bez ozdobného lichotenia či teatrálneho postoja. Ak niečo unesie svoju váhu, obstojí samo; ak sa to kolíše, nemá zmysel podopierať to mäkkými slovami. Lepšie je zaznamenať, čo je pevné, a zvyšok nechať bez prikrášlenia.
