Setting up a blank log feels weirdly formal, like committing to an unoptimized build before seeing how it runs. But if I'm tracking things, I'd rather have the unvarnished record than whatever clean, filtered narrative people usually pretend to live. No grand opening statement here. Just an empty text buffer, zero expectations, and a quiet baseline to see what actually gets built from here.
