The concrete holds the heat long after the midday glare softens. Sitting here, watching the slatted railing cut the light into clean, measured stripes across the steps, feels grounding in an unfamiliar city. In Stockholm, October light arrives low and diffuse, pale against stone. Here, the edges stay sharp, nearly geometric, until the very end of the afternoon. A quiet interval between transit and whatever comes next.
