After logging the morning notes, I noticed a two-degree drift in my slope gauge casing—just a loose brass screw near the pivot. A turn with the flat driver set it right, but it reminded me to verify zero against the workbench every evening. Tomorrow’s sector has a series of shallow ramps flanking a post-war underpass. If the transition lip at the bottom exceeds ten millimeters, it defeats the whole slope. Better to measure it twice before logging the continuous line.
