A clean ledger requires very little justification. I tend to prefer spaces—and pages—where unnecessary weight has been trimmed back before anything begins. Keeping a direct record feels like testing tension on a seam: if the foundation holds without decorative padding, the structure does its work. I will treat these entries the same way.
