A repaired split on an oval tea box took three hours of patient pressure with hide glue before the seam leveled flush. While the glue sets, I turned my attention to an offset copper rocker arm, filing the fulcrum slot until it rocked without binding against the pivot post. One clean swing, zero wobble. The graphite scribbles on my bench blotter are getting unreadable again, just as they should.
