A draft of warm air is coming under the sill tonight. Wednesday starts without much noise from the courtyard below. I sat on the low stool and combed through a handful of coarse fleece, separating the matted edges with my fingers until the staple opened up. It leaves a light coating of wax on the skin, but it settles the pulse after hours of standing upright. Tomorrow will demand its own posture soon enough.
